  • Expertise in managing on-site and off-site teams across different time zones, particularly technical architects, developers and testers

  • Demonstrable experience in risk and issue management during the entire lifecycle of the project

Team Management

This is a position for someone who's obsessive about ensuring the quality of web APIs via automated testing.

Main Duties

We're looking for a QA engineer to develop automated tests for a web API for learning and talent management, used by numerous third-party applications including mobile apps, learning portals, authoring tools and analytics tools, across hundreds of large organisational clients in industries including finance, healthcare, life sciences and aviation.

We use Java a lot so familiarity with the language and platform would be beneficial, but if you can demonstrate the ability to develop automated tests in some other language that's okay too. Our standard deployment environment is Apache Tomcat. You'll need to grok the HTTP protocol, as well as standard data interchange formats such as JSON and XML.

You'll be working in an agile development environment with a strong focus on continuous integration, so familiarity with tools such as Jenkins would be beneficial.

You should be comfortable working with version control systems such as Apache Subversion or Git. You'll be expected to create tests to verify both functional and performance requirements.
