Courseware Conversions

You invested a lot over the years to build online courseware. Unfortunately, not all of that content is compatible with current industry standards and platforms. While much of that content may still be very relevant for your business needs, it isn't compatible with SCORM or AICC standards, or your new LMS.

We've made a science out of courseware conversions that will literally save hours and expense related to the process and justifying the conversion.

Courseware Conversion Overview

  • Convert legacy courses and content to updated format
  • Cost effective automated conversion strategies
  • SCORM 1.2, 2004 and AICC conversion
  • Saas Hosting Solutions
  • Aesthetic design update
  • Instructional design and quality review

Convert Old Courses from AuthorWare, ToolBook and more
NetDimensions can convert your existing courseware (CBT or WBT) to a new tool and platform. If the requirements are extensive, we will develop software utilities to automate as much of the conversion process as possible to minimize labor and reduce the chance for quality issues during the conversion. Our team of instructional designers and software engineers will work with your subject matter experts and LMS technical team to ensure that the conversion meets expectations.

At the same time that we convert your courses to an industry standard web-based delivery, we can also upgrade them with increased interaction, new content, a new look, and new features to improve the overall course quality and level of learning. Whether the content is in a proprietary format or an old tool like Authorware™, we'll provide an efficient method for preserving their shelf life and usefulness.

Some examples of past courseware conversions:

  • Converted an extensive technical curriculum, more than 2,500 hours of content formerly in a proprietary development tool integrated with a non-standard LMS, and migrated the entire library into Lectora® for integration with a SCORM LMS.
  • Converted a series of Authorware courses for a real estate organization into Lectora® for integration with a SCORM LMS
  • Moved a 200 title business library into a database with XML tags so that the content could be output into any third party authoring tool or HTML format with custom templates and new graphics.
  • Updated product training courses from a Flash format that had not been published in a SCORM format so the courses could be run from a newly purchased LMS rather than untracked web links.
